Welcome to the Fox & Hounds
The Fox & Hounds is an independent freehouse and has been our family business and home since 2004. Situated In the pretty village of Hunsdon, surrounded by open fields and lovely walks – whilst being close to the towns of Bishop Stortford, Ware, Hertford & Harlow.
We serve imaginative food with rustic Italian and French influences. Our menu is seasonal and changes on a regular basis according to the best produce available from our suppliers – so even for our regular customers there is always something new and exciting. We also offer an excellent value MID WEEK SPECIAL (Just £15!), and a popular Sunday Lunch.
We are open from 10am serving coffee, pastries, essentials & treats from our Fox Shop.
We have a large garden for drinkers, a large terrace for al fresco dining (when the weather allows) & heated gazebo. Our spacious bar and lounge bar area are perfect for a relaxed meal, whilst our dining room is also the ideal space for candlelit dinners, private parties & special occasions.
We’re proud to have received many rewards over the years and be featured in many Guides, including The MICHELIN Guide which we have featured in every year since we opened in 2004. We also received a MICHELIN BIB GOURMAND every year from 2012-2024 – a huge accolade!.
